WHEN EVIE MET OPRAH!

I have watched, learnt and been inspired by Oprah for the longest time. As a young mother I would watch her show everyday and be inspired to know that I was more than someone who did the dishes and the laundry. When noone else did - she made me feel special. It was a dream of mine to meet her, be on her show or at her show. I had her on vision boards, in my dream book and I was convinced that 'one day' I would meet her or at least be in the same space as her.
After I heard that her show was finishing and when her Tour to Australia was announced and I could not get tickets - I surrendered! I didn't give up but I surrendered. It is one of the things that has stuck with me that Oprah taught me. Surrender to what is... let it go!
So, on my recent visit to Philadelphia, I thought I should go to Washington DC to do a tour and at least see the White House, given that it is only a few hours on the bus from Philly. That afternoon, we decided to some shopping and went to Macys for a little retail therapy and then my phone rang. It was my friend from NYC who had seen my post on Facebook, announcing that I was Washington DC. Little did I know, she was on her way there too - for work - she was working on Oprah's Life You Want Tour and offered me tickets.
Within hours, I was realising one of my most treasured dreams and that was to at least be in Oprah's audience and there I was - just like that. That moment, that experience restored my waining faith in my dreams - it made me a believer once again.

MY TREASURED TICKET!!!!

ALL READY FOR OPRAH! A LITTLE CHAMPAGNE TO CELEBRATE!
Aside from restoring my faith in my dreams, what I took away from that weekend with Oprah and her guests, was that I AM ENOUGH! I will leave you with that thought.
PEACE!
